Protection & Prevention
Fire safety and locksmith services, from one family firm
Fire safety equipment and physical security, supplied, fitted and serviced across London and the UK. Which half do you need?
What we do
Two trades, one team, one invoice
Most firms specialise in fire services or locksmithing, rarely both. We handle it all in house: hanging fire doors, installing certified fire-rated locks, and servicing extinguishers. No coordination headaches, no passing the buck, just one responsible provider from start to finish.

Fire safety & firefighting equipment
Extinguishers, blankets, fire doors and the fire-rated hardware that holds them shut. We supply the kit, fit it properly, and come back to service it.
All fire safety services
Locks, doors & physical security
Lock changes, emergency entry, broken key extraction, window locks, padlocks and boarding up after a break-in or storm damage.
All locks & security servicesExtinguisher servicing
An extinguisher is only worth the wall space if someone has checked it. We service every make and type, record what we find, and leave you the paperwork.

Locked out, keys gone, or a lock that has simply given up. We open it, usually without damage, and make it secure before we leave.

A fire door is only a fire door if it was fitted like one. We hang them, seal them, and make sure they actually close.

Break-in, smashed window, storm damage or a door that will not shut. We make it secure and weatherproof tonight, then put it right properly.

A family business, not a call centre
Ren-Lock is run by the family that does the work. The person who prices your job is the person who turns up to do it, and the number you ring today is the number you will still be ringing in five years. That is not a small thing in a trade where a lot of firms are a national phone number subcontracting to whoever is nearest.
We came into fire and security the long way round: from kitchens and bathrooms into commercial and domestic building work, with carpentry, groundworks and fabrication behind it. That background is the reason we can repair the frame a lock is fixed into, hang a fire door so it actually closes on its seals, and make a bracket on site when nothing off the shelf fits.
It also means we will tell you when you do not need us. Plenty of extinguishers we are called to look at are fine, and plenty of forced door frames can be repaired rather than replaced. We would rather say so and keep the customer.
Qualified carpenter, Levels 1 & 2
Formal carpentry and joinery qualifications behind the door and frame work, which is why a fire door we hang actually closes on its seals.
Certificated extinguisher installation and servicing
Extinguishers commissioned, serviced and refilled to the manufacturer's schedule, with the paperwork you need for a fire risk assessment.
Groundworks and building experience
A commercial and domestic building background behind every fixing. We understand the structure a door or a shutter is being fixed into.
Fabrication on site
Where an off-the-shelf part does not exist, we make one. Frames, plates, brackets and boarding cut and fitted on the day.

FAQs
Common questions
How quickly can you come out?
For lock-outs, break-ins and anything left insecure we aim to be with you the same day across London and the Home Counties. For planned work: fire doors, an extinguisher contract, a full lock upgrade: we normally quote within a couple of days and book the work in for one to two weeks after you accept, or sooner if the diary allows. Tell us what has happened when you enquire and we will tell you honestly when we can be there.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Estimates are free. For most jobs we can price from a description and a few photographs; for fire door work, multi-site extinguisher contracts and anything structural we would rather come and look, which is also free.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Call-outs, lock-outs, lock changes, boarding up, are a London and Home Counties service, because response time is the whole point. Supply, installation and servicing work we take on nationwide: extinguisher contracts, fire door installations and multi-site security upgrades are all jobs we travel for. See areas we cover.
Are you a family business?
Yes. Ren-Lock is run by the family that does the work. The person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to do it, and the number you call is the number you will keep calling.
Can you service extinguishers that were not supplied by you?
Yes, and most of the ones we service were not. We will record what you have, tell you what is still serviceable, what needs a refill and what has reached the end of its life. If something is fine, we say so. We are not in the business of condemning a good extinguisher.
Can an extinguisher be serviced before its anniversary?
It can. If a service is due in four months and we are on site anyway, or you want the whole building brought onto one date, we can commission early and reset the cycle. It saves a second visit and gives you one renewal date to diarise instead of six.
Tell us what you need
Free estimates. Tell us roughly what has happened and where you are, and we will come back to you with a price and a realistic date.
Thank you. That has reached us
We have sent an acknowledgement to your email address. One of the family will reply, usually the same working day. If it is urgent, call 07538 094345 or message us on WhatsApp.
