Working in City of London
The City is almost entirely commercial, and the fire safety side dominates. Offices with scheduled extinguisher contracts, restaurants and bars needing wet chemical cover and escape hardware, and a surprising amount of listed and historic fabric that has to take modern equipment without looking wrecked.
Listed interiors are where discretion matters. There is more choice in signage, finish and mounting than most people are offered, and where nothing off the shelf will fit we fabricate brackets and plinths rather than drilling into something irreplaceable. Chrome and matte black extinguishers are a regular request here for exactly that reason.
Access is the other constraint: most City work has to happen outside trading hours or inside a booked slot with a building manager, and with a permit. We plan around that rather than turning up and discovering it.

What we are called out for most in City of London
Extinguisher servicing
An extinguisher is only worth the wall space if someone has checked it. We service every make and type, record what we find, and leave you the paperwork.

The hardware is where fire safety and locksmithing meet, and where most firms have to call somebody else in. We do both.

Fully certified extinguishers in polished chrome, matte black, pink or a colour matched to your interior, because a red cylinder ruins a good room.

The rest of the kit: signage, stands, cabinets, covers and the small items that make a fire plan actually work on the floor.

Questions about working in City of London
Can you work outside office hours?
Yes, and most City work does. Evening, early morning and weekend slots are normal for us, and we will work to your building's permit and access procedures.
Can fire equipment be installed discreetly in a listed building?
Yes. Chrome, brushed stainless and matte black units, discreet but compliant signage, and fabricated brackets or floor stands where fixing into historic fabric is not acceptable.
